My Google AI Studio App
The Idea
An alternative to X (Twitter) designed for the free-press ecosystem, where every account is backed by a cryptographic proof of personhood — but users retain full control over whether they appear anonymous or identified.
The platform is purpose-built to fight misinformation and deep fakes by letting citizens organize into fact-checking collectives that collaboratively verify claims, flag synthetic media, and surface trustworthy reporting.
Core Design Principles
🪪 Proof of Personhood
- Every account is tied to a unique, verified human (biometric or social-graph attestation).
- Eliminates bot farms, astroturfing, and coordinated inauthentic behavior at the protocol level.
- Verification can use decentralized identity frameworks (e.g. web-of-trust attestations).
🎭 Anonymity by Default
- Users choose their disclosure level: fully anonymous pseudonym, partial identity, or full public profile.
- Identity is revealed only if the user opts in or by court order through a transparent legal process.
- Protects whistleblowers, dissidents, and journalists in repressive environments.
✅ Fact-Checking Collectives
- Cerified users can create a collective dedicated to fact-checking. All users can participate.
- Collectives review claims, attach verification badges (confirmed, disputed, false, synthetic), and link to primary sources.
- A reputation score tracks collective accuracy over time, weighted by peer review and outcome audits.
- Deep-fake detection tools are built into the posting flow, flagging AI-generated media before it spreads.
How It Complements the Cocuyo Alliance

🔗
Ecosystem fit — The Cocuyo Alliance solves the funding problem for independent media. Verified Voices solves the distribution and trust problem by giving outlets a platform where their reporting is amplified by verified humans and protected from algorithmic suppression and disinformation campaigns.
</aside>
- Shared audience layer: outlets in the Alliance publish natively; fact-checking collectives amplify verified stories.
- Censor-resistant distribution: no single corporate ToS can de-platform an entire network of verified persons.
- Trust signal feedback loop: high-quality reporting earns collective endorsements → more visibility → more subscriptions/contributions back to the Alliance endowment.
Simple Technical Stack
- Core stack: Polkadot-native trust and identity layer with a JAM-ready roadmap for higher-scale coordination
- EVM compatibility: support standard EVM wallets and contracts so users and partners can join without learning a new stack
- Multichain identity: one verified account can interact across Polkadot and Ethereum-compatible ecosystems while preserving optional pseudonymity
- Trust and reputation: fact-check badges, collective reputation, and content attestations recorded on-chain, with heavy social data kept off-chain for speed
- Interoperability: XCM for Polkadot-native movement and bridges for external chains, social apps, and media integrations
