The project proposes a new operating and financing model for independent media, inspired from the experience of independent outlets like Efecto Cocuyo and expanding into an alliance of mission-aligned outlets.
Instead of relying mainly on short-term donations, grants, and platform distribution, the model creates a shared capital base and a shared digital ecosystem that can support journalism over the long term.
Independent media operating in politically or economically fragile environments faces a structural trap:
